Afterease for afterpains?

I was going to post this in Pregnancy.. but figured here would be a better place (mods feel free to move it).

I am expecting # 3 in a few weeks and remembering the afterpains with #2 as being terrible, horrific and saidI would never do this again! LOL!

I saw Afterease on a website and was wondering if anyone has tried it?

Or what are your tinctures, remedies etc for those afterpains?

Thanks!

I did with my third. I'm glad I had it on hand cuz my midwife didn't want me taking anything at first (blood loss) and they were horrific. I had to use a lot of it, but it did take the edge off. I'll have it on hand again. I can deal with back labor, but I cannot handle the afterbirth. I know it has a purpose, but sheesh, haven't we worked hard enough at that point?

Honestly, after going through a natural childbirth, I thought I was darn well entitled to a few Ibuprofin for afterpains. Worked like a charm.

LOL me too!! I felt like I had run a marathon and then gotten beat up. A little vitamin I did the trick for general body aches, and helped with the afterpains too.

I'll be watching to see if it helps! After DD2's birth two weeks ago, I was completely shocked by the afterpains...they were SO much worse than my first! Not going to lie, it definitely made me reconsider wanting a third (at least a third without a prescription for some painkillers!)

Good luck!

My best friend just had her first and had really terrible afterpains. Our midwife said that in that case, they'll be starting her on an Ibuprophin regimen right after birth next time. Afterease was in her birth kit, but I don't think she ever used it.
