KINGSPORT, Tenn. — It was a Zinger of a theft in Tennessee.

It also included cupcakes, Twinkies and other snack cakes from the Merita Bread Company.

Okay, now I am second guessing posting this story. Maybe the guy is homeless or without food and thats why he stole.

It is still an odd choice. I can see grabbing one of those as I left, but $300 worth of snack cakes is a *lot* of snack cakes. Especially at a bread company, where I would assume there are other things.

People just do things like that even if they are not necessarily in need.

$300 *IS* a lot of snack cakes. Those are what? Like 50 cents each?

We have one of those stores and they have bread, PB&J, Milk...all sorts of things.

They were found hiding under the truck? In the snow? I'm thinking perhaps more than snack cakes were involved in their evening activities, but that would be purely speculative.

That is a severe case of the munchies if there was more than simple hunger motivating them.

I was assuming that they took them off a loading dock or something like that. It would be pretty hard to stock up on $300 of twinkies off the shelf, but easy to take the nearest few packing boxes and take off.
