Post patrum lady parts issues

My daughter is 15 months old now and I still don't feel quite back to normal. I feel irritated a lot in the outer labia area. I don't think I have any sort of infection because other than the irritation (almost feels like razor burn) I have no other signs of a problem. Any idea what I might do to relieve this or what the cause might be? I have felt slightly uncomfortable since my daughter was born and I figured with time... oh I was wrong.

I went to the gyno months ago he said everything was okay.

I do regret forgetting to ask him about a little pea sized bump inside my vaginal opening though. It showed up IMMEDIATELY after giving birth and never went away. It is on the inside to on the vaginal wall. I have never heard of anything like it and it is really annoying. Unfortunately, I no longer have insurance and cannot take a day off work to go to the free clinics. I babysit in my home and never know ahead of time when my day off will be. Anyone else have unexpected changes after giving birth?

I don't really want to bring this up with friends. Although I feel entirely comfy talking about such things I don't want to make others feel uncomfortable.

So... irritation only on the outside. possible causes? And weird bump just inside the vaginal opening immediately after giving birth any idea what this is? If it matter they gave me an episiotomy that I did not want during birth. Could the irritation be from scarring?? But I cannot see how that would cause a bump inside of me. It is driving me crazy.

ETA: I am not sexually active and have not been since my daughter was born. I am STD free.

Well, I wonder if the 2 issues are unrelated. My initial guesses might be yeast on the labia and a sebaceous cyst (pimple). Maybe try some miconizole cream twice a day for a week and see if it gets better. For the cyst, all the extra fluid may have clogged a pore. It's pretty harmless but irritating, from what I understand.

If I were you, I might find a way to take a morning and go to the free clinic, just in case, though.

Good luck and feel better soon.

I agree about the possibility of yeast - kind of like jock itch in guys. I had this once and treated it with an OTC anti fungal (like the pp mentioned) which worked like a charm.

the bump you feel could be a bartholin gland cyst

have you tried any kind of moisturizer on your labia? something natural and edible like coconut oil would be good, and might soothe the skin.
