I am a self diagnosed leaky gut girl. I have a gluten and dairy intolerance that I know of (also self diagnosed) and now am having other digestive issues.
From my research so far it seems that maybe I have a leaky gut (and have for a long time) and now my body is unable to digest other foods other than gluten and diary.
My symptoms include gas, bloating, really bad constipation (never diahrea), headaches and probably more like moodyness and fatigue.
So far I have eliminated corn, rice and potatoes (so I think I am grain free).
I have read the 'Breaking the vicious Cycle' book but can't imagine also dropping soy and beans.
I have introduced Acidofolys, FOS, cod liver oil, broad spectrum digestive enzymes, arise and shine herbs, magnesium (and calcium).
My questions are:
What should I expect from the enzyme use (just started them 2 days ago).
When should my symptoms start getting better?
Do you think I should drop the soy and beans too? This would be sooo hard in that I hardly eat anything by veggies, fruit, and chicken as it is.
My condition isn't really dibilitating. It seems that many a reader of the SCD book NEED to do something as they are in such dyer straights. I just don't want to drop bean and soy...
What other things should I intro into my diet. I was going to add vitamins but after reading about enzymes I think if my body can use all the good stuff I eat then maybe I don't need to add them.
Thanks for reading.
