Need suggestions for at home work from my computer.

Thread Starter
I am a SAHM to a DS and I need to find honest work so that DH and I can increase our income. Does anyone know of online jobs that I can do that do not require a monitary investment up front, are not surveys, PPC, PTC, PTR or GPT?
I have done freelance writing for a site called reviewstream, but i ran out of things to review and was getting paid at the rate of 50 cents per review that i submitted after i hit the $40 mark.
so when i hit $50 with reviewstream, i simply requested my money to go into paypal and have never written for them since because their support staff are extremely rude.

I have an idea that might help you, because it's something I am doing. I had a similar issue, in that part time jobs in my area did not pay very well. Certainly not enough to justify having to juggle my schedule, figure out how to handle the kids etc.

So a couple of years ago I decided to start a website as an online business. At this point, it practically runs itself. It did take several months for the income to materialize, steadily, but now I am getting checks every month and net income goes into savings or to pay off bills. (You can do whatever you wish with the money, obviously.)

I based my business on a topic I love, and you could choose anything you would like. The key is researching it and setting it up properly.

The best thing is, you can do this at your kitchen table anytime of the day or night.

What I recommend, is getting a copy of the free e-book. Make Your Site Sell by Ken Evoy. I used his methods and a software, and it works great for me.

Just thought you should know about this option.

I suggest you google work at home forums. There are a few good ones out there. Work at home Mom is a great resource, I have found a lot of work and friends there.

Since you have freelance writing experience, I suggest you take a look at http://freelancewritinggigs.com/weba.../writing-gigs/ . Also, freelance writing leads are occasionally listed at http://www.workathomemomcenter.com/joblistings (as well as other work at home jobs for moms that you may be interested in).

For a free ebook on making money online, a pretty good one is being given away at http://www.mylilgolddress.com .

Other good places are the WAHM forums:

http://www.wahm.com/forum (especially check out the writer's forums there http://www.wahm.com/forum/wahms-who-write-46/) and the Warrior forums:

http://www.WarriorForum.com (which is a really good place to learn more about the excellent idea offered by HappyWAHM)

Hope this information is useful to you!

A lot of the work from home "jobs" are scams. It's been disheartening. Two things you can do that are legitimate are...

Sell stuff on Ebay. Sell your kids' clothes, things you have laying around, books, anything. Or buy things on sale (OldNavy has serious sales at the change of each season), then sell them on Ebay marked up slightly from sale price. You can buy stuff anywhere you can find it cheap and remarket it on Ebay.

Or babysit. I know, I know. This is a lot of work. But if you keep it to one or two additional children, preferably friends or relatives of yours' kids, you can make a decent amount (although you're likely to not get paid as much because you're (probably) not certified and you're a friend/relative.

I've been doing both of these things lately and I've made about $110 per week so far.

I don't know if this helps but I work with Seeing Angels Two by Two. They do customer service for Fortune 500 companies. They do phone work but also Chat and email customer service. http://www.seeingangelstwobytwo.com/default.html
