She is a more difficult nearly nine year old. Now she rolls her eyes at me and groans.

It does a bit. I like the, "How to talk so kids will listen and how to listen so kids will talk" book.

I so thank everyone for offering perspectives on my situation. Her and my conversation is rolling and we are making some improvements already. I'm being straight forward now, but I'm willing to let this change happen over a few weeks. She is seeming to understand that I keep needing to sleep-in in the mornings (DH is a WAHD) because I'm tired from nursing her all night. She likes it when I get up when she does therefore she has been willing to make that happen! She has gone from nursing for 30+ minutes at a time to only a few sucks!
