You know you're well into third trimester when... - Page 3

... you are moving at about half your normal speed and even then want a nap by noon!
... you realize "oh sh*t this is actually happening?!", along with every emotion possible - joy, fear, sorrow, excitement, exhaustion!
... you buy a pack of disposable NB diapers and wipes to have on hand in case cloth diapering is too much those first few days.
... you realize those "bruises" that won't go away are finally stretch marks, not bruises after all. You also notice skin tags, new hairs, growing moles (?!) and many other mysterious skin changes... but are too tired to care

Seriously! My tub is suddenly WAY too small, and I"m afraid I'm going to rip the faucet off (no handles). I am really slow to get in and out but end up sloshing tons of water out onto the floor... DH is like, "what did you DO in here?!" when the floor is soaked afterwards . I have to fill it up as much as I can or the belly is freezing!

Dude... I don't let DH anywhere NEAR my underwear. They smell so bad! I sweat and sweat and sweat down there and probably pee 20 times a day.
And, um, TMI - yesterday I ended up with my first skidmark maybe ever. Ha ha, where did THAT come from?! I disgust myself and am going to break into the baby's stash of disposable wipes

I am thankful for moist wipes right now too. I concur with everything you've said!

Seriously. Sorry for posting so much, but I just can commiserate so well all of a sudden! Even a few days ago I felt like, "okay, this is rough but doable". Then yesterday I just hit a wall with the discomfort and hugeness and frustration and hormones. Argh!
My pelvis cracks and makes a sound and pain every time I roll over. I've started using my arms to roll me over, legs clenched together so I have to move my pelvis as little as possible. It doesn't always work and it wakes me up all the way but it's better than that SNAP!

I'm getting so big that I actually am going back from my maternity clothes to regular clothes - maternity pants and tank tops but regular dresses used as tshirts, and long shirts and sweaters stretched over the belly, because I just couldn't stand being so huge in the maternity stuff I have. Now I look even huger but at least I feel more like I'm dressed like me.

OMG me too, just this morning! Ugh.

I'm at the taking 5 minutes to work myself up to preparing to roll over in bed at night, I swear I have to psyche myself up for the process of moving pillows, scooting myself over a few inches and then holding the belly as I roll and then re-adjusting everything.
Also feeling like a grandma, I've got the mild compression stockings to put on and the "girdle" maternity support belt for the belly, the thin skin streatched tight over the belly and all that good stuff!!!!

Don't buy anymore nb diapers. You can get a ton of them for free from the hospital. Any pack that gets opened is yours to keep, plus you can always ask for more. Hospitals get them for free from the diaper companies, so they don't care if you take a bunch home. They sometimes even foist more on you! We still have a ton of nb diapers from 2 years ago & will end up coming home w/ even more!

The sweat, the sweat, the sweat. It's ridiculous. And every time I manage to make it to the gym, it's like I'm learning an entirely new workout because my center of gravity has shifted so much. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if I made it in there more than once every two weeks...

Haha. I totally feel this way when I work out on my Wii Fit. That thing must think I'm the weirdest person ever. My balance and fitness level gets worse the more I exercise and I keep setting my goal to gain weight.

Our last apartment was a handicapped (the only apartment available at the time in that building) and it had those beautiful handles all over the bathroom. One by the Throne of a toilet, and two in the bathtub. We moved a traded up for a bigger tub but I totallllly miss those handicapped handles.

I feel like an old person when I get in and out of the car. It takes me forever! I have to be very conscious of what I'm doing so as to not cause more pain than necessary. Slow enough that DH asked me the other day if I needed help.

Sweet, good to know!
I know it's silly to buy some of the supplies I did, anyway (infant tylenol, disposable diapers and wipes, prefolds, maxipads etc) but I just couldn't handle not buying something that was right in front of me that I know we'll need eventually (well, hopefully not the tylenol, but it was only $2). Because there is so much to do, and I am moving so slowly, anything I can check off my list at ALL at this point is a good thing, even if I definitely won't need them for at least 2 months!
But I'll hold off on more diapers, that's great.

TMI ALERT
yeah, I really can't survive without those wet wipes anymore because I can't reach behind me to wipe properly anymore and am having to reach between my legs in an odd sort of half leaning around my belly maneuver to reach my butt to wipe... and yeah, wiping "front to back" is NOT working!

RE: Sweat? OMG! I have taken to knitting outside in 35 degree weather wearing nothing but shirtsleeves and a thin skirt just to keep from sweating to death!

And here I thought I was the only one with issues reaching anymore!

OMG yes. I drive our Accord to work on Tuesday and Thursday and it takes me forever to get out of the car. It's utterly humiliating when you realize that you're being watched by like a dozen college students.

At least with my van, it's high enough that I can usually get out without breathing heavy.
