best carrier for a grandfather

I am looking for a carrier that my father can use to carry our DD who is 4.5 months old. He takes care of her when I'm at work & has asked about using a carrier to take her on walks and to wear her around the house. I have 4 carriers, Moby, New Native, Pretty Mama Sling, & Mei Tai Baby (I love my Mei Tai the best). However, these are all to complicated for him. He'd like a structured-type carrier, one that's easy on and easy off, no tying, maybe just buckles. Does anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking that maybe Beco Baby or Ergo Baby would work for him. I also considered Baby Bjorn, but have read so many negative posts.

I wouldn't recommend the bjorn, it isn't the most comfortable carrier as baby gets bigger. I have an ergo and love it, as does my dh. It is definitely gender neutral and would last quite awhile, I still use mine with my 2.5 year old. The beco butterly may be nice however as it has an internal harness. Some people find them annoying, and it's an extra step for putting it on compared to the ergo, but it may be a nice feature for people who are nervous to do back carries, etc.

I like the beco and you dn't have to use the internal harness if you don't want to use that part, up to him. Made my non-bwing friend feel better about back carries at first, so I suggest that to lots of people.

I love the Ergo, but in this particular case I probably I will go for the Beco..

I have an angelpack LX (almost just like a beco) and my dad has used it with my daughter. He did have me help strap her on, just b/c we were on a trail and he'd never used it before, but he seemed to like it. I think it has less learning curve than many other styles of carriers. I would skip a bjorn/snugli type-not only is it bad positioning for baby, but I found it nearly impossible to do on my own and baby was squished by 6 mos.-and she was not a huge baby.

A lot of men, including my dh, like wearing an ergo.

I would suggest the Ergo- both my DH and I love it. My mom had no problem using it either.

I don't have experience with the Beco, but I think the Ergo is easy and looks sort of gender-neutral to wear. Hooray for a baby-wearing grandpa!! My dad has his own mei tai.
