Im sure this has been answered countless times, but here goes.. My 5 month old started feeling warm/acting fussy yesterday afternoon. She had an armpit fever of about 101.5. Throughout the night it went down to around 100. Today it got up to 102, and we are now hovering around 101.
I haven't given her any otc fever stuff, because I do believe fevers are beneficial, and I don't want to interfere with what her body is trying to do. She has been sleeping almost the entire last 24 hours, wakes to be changed, seems alert, but visibly uncomfortable, shes been nursing almost the entire time, and has had wet diapers as usual.
What are your views on infants with fevers? How long do I wait before I go to the dr / give her meds / start to worry? She has a bit of a stuffy nose, but not much more than usual.
TIA
