HBA2C in Ontario

I was wondering if anybody could give me information on HBA2C in Ontario (with a midwife preferably)? I'm not pregnant or TTC yet but want all the info i can get before I need them.

1st CS due to breech (elective)
2nd CS due to going 41+5 (debatable dates), also elective.

With my 2nd I felt like I was racing the clock to find care, and I don't want to feel like that again. Also, if I can't get proper care I don't know if I'll willingly go for #3.

Thanks again

I'm pretty sure my midwives (Ontario) told me that 2+sections would risk me out of a homebirth. I can't imagine any doctor would do it. All the ones here thought I was crazy for attempting a homebirth after one c-section.

I'm sure the info is in my info packet but I have a sleeping toddler on me at the moment, I'll try and see if I can find it online.

Sorry, I couldn't find anything online and I must have thrown out all the info papers I got from the midwives.

I'm sure if you just call any midwife group they can tell you. The list of things that risks you out to an ob/hospital is standard (according to their licensing) so it would be the same for all of them.

you will have to call a midwife practice in your area of ontario... limette is correct, the basic requirements will remain the same across the province, but it can change significantly from province to province. i started my pregnancy in ontario and later moved to quebec, and am quite surprised at the difference in care. in quebec for example, a breech will risk you out of midwife care, whereas in ontario it didn't. the ontario midwives can remain your primary caregivers if you recieve drugs during labour as well, whereas in quebec, they would transfer care for those things.

i would be surprised if 2 c/s alone would risk you out of a vaginal birth, although it might risk you out of home, and perhaps midwife care. you should still be able to attempt vaginal birth in a hospital setting. definitely give your local midwife group a call.
