Talk to me about...

Co-sleeping with a toddler and an infant! I just got my BFP a few days ago so I'm months away from worrying about this. But, I was laying in bed with my son last night thinking there's no way I'll want him out of the bed in 8 months. How in the world do you co-sleep with 1 monkey who has to be touching me at all times and a newborn? Right now my son still nurses 3-6 times a night. Help!

I'm in the same boat as you!

I am hoping it will work for us. Right now DS sleeps with us and nurses all night long. (I am planning on nightweaning him when he turns two.) We have a bed rail that I put a long king-sized pillow up against. During the night, he switches back and forth, sometime between me and the bed rail, sometimes between me and DH. When the baby comes I am thinking of putting DS between DH and I and the baby between the bed rail and me.

That way, even if nightweaning doesn't go as planned, DS is at a point where he can find the boob himself, or I could flip back and forth. And he can cuddle with DH too.

Maybe I am in denial, but I think this may work.

Congratulations!

Have you tried a cosleeper thing? Little crib that attaches to the side of the bed? That worked for us when ds was real small. Now he sleeps with us, but when he was teeny i didn't worry about pets or squashing him.

We have a co-sleeper, used it for about 5 minutes with my DS. Unfortunately our mattress is now on the floor so it won't work. We do use a Humanity bed right now though.

Anyone else? Any BTDT moms?
