Hey again guys.
I've been fairly lazy with Suite recently. I keep thinking "It can't be time for my weekly Hair Care article yet, I just wrote one!", then checking and.... oops! So I keep scrabbling to catch up. I really need to make a routine and always write those articles on Monday or something.
Well, my news is that DH quit his job and started working from home, so I need to up my game with freelancing in an attempt to supplement his income while he builds his client base. (His job involves copywriting, and incidentally? It's depressing how much more he's able/willing to charge for copywriting than I get paid for my magazine articles!!)
So I've decided to compose all my article queries in documents in a proper folder, rather than in my Gmail drafts; and have some kind of spreadsheet system to make sure I've submitted every query to all the appropriate magazines, not just one or two.
As far as Suite goes - my New Year's Resolution was to earn $350/month by the end of the year. I'm currently earning about $240, so I have a way to go! A couple of my top-performing articles are getting more PVs than ever - I think because I respond to comments, some of them are up to 90+ comments now! - but of course I don't really know how that impacts revenue. I should definitely work on more holiday articles - could really use a Christmas revenue boost this year!
