"vaccines are safer than breastmilk" I've heard it all now

So I am discussing mandatory vaccines w/ someone. I am pretty much opposed to mandatory anything by the state, and I am a delayed/selective vaxer. So I asked my friend who thinks every child should be force vaccinated (no religious/philosophical) exemptions bc it's too risky and even if vax are unsafe, everyone should take the burden.

SO I told her that for everyone to breastfeed, it would save700+ baby deaths and we're not talking about forcing mothers to breastfeed. So if we shouldn't force mothers to bf, then we shouldn't force every baby to be vaccinated.

SO she says that the average woman's breastmilk is much more toxic bc of the pollutants in the air and the mercury in fish etc that get in the breastmilk. Vaccines are monitored for potential contaminants.

I've gotta say that's a pretty impressive leap in logic your friend took there! I think the sentiment is ridiculous, but I'll give her kudos on creativity.

Well, then, doing the vaccinated versus non-vaccinated study should be a slam-dunk. Obviously, the vaccinated, bottle-fed babies will be the healthy group. (sarcasm)

even the vaccinated, bottle-fed babies whose formula is diluted too much, and/or mixed with non-potable water!

because its not like your DC isn't breathing the same polluted air that you are, right? do formula fed babies wear gas masks or something?

That's funny....I'm not ingesting large amounts of mercury or toxins in my own home--it's everywhere else I go in the "average" world...and those are the same places all the bottle fed baby's mom's go with their babes...

I had my medical FIL try a version of this aurguement on me with vaccines. It is hilarious in retrospect, although at the time I could not believe my ears. I was completley appalled that a medical professional was trying to tell me the dangers of breastfeeding while convincing me to vaccinate my baby.

As if cows don't get vaccinations/exposed to pollution too... I wonder if all cow-milk based formula available to buy is made with the milk of factory-farm cows...

fwiw print off the vaccine vial inserts (can get them on google) and show her exactly what is in vaccines....formaldehyde for one.....ugh guess thats just proof you can't cure stupid!
