Best Chicago area School Districts for Special Needs?

Hi,

I was advised by an experienced special education attorney that I live in the worst school district for special needs. The SD has shockingly and flagrantly violated numerous disability discrimination laws. The attorney wasn't surprised. She encouraged me to move to get into a better school district as the best move for my daughter.

Does anyone know of (1) better Chicago area school districts for food allergies and/or (2) better Chicago area school districts for special needs.

My Mom is a special ed teacher in Lake County and thinks they are great. She teaches at a high school.

What is the need?

I have worked in every district in the Chicagoland area. What is the situation and what are you wanting from the district? Since you have an attorney - you know you may still have to battle for stuff- but it sounds like you are used to that - which is good

I've heard wonderful things about special ed. in the Naperville school district.
