this was on the today show- http://www.hulu.com/watch/125575/nbc...hrough-on-sids

Now I am confused- I thought SIDS was unexplained, sudden, infant death, and that it is seperate from smothering.. am I wrong?

They say co-sleeping contributes to SIDS, grr.

misinformation about cosleeping is so sad, I hate to think that Mamas are listening to this and going away from their own instincts to cuddle their babies.

I can't see the video as my Mac doesn't have flash.
Is this about the new research about serotonin and SIDS? If so, it isn't related to co-sleeping. It's a possible defect in the brainstem.

yes, it is related to the seratonin info- but at the end the doc gives a list of things you can do to avoid sids, including "not sharing sleep spaces" and "not smoking while pregnant"

also, at one point the host (matt lauer? is that his name?) says something about babies breathing in carbon monoxide when they sleep too close to the bumper
