omega 3 (veg.)

Hi - I'm looking for a vegetarian omega 3 supplement for my 5 year old DS. He has behaviour & sleep problems and bad eczema. I read about the benefits of omega 3 and I thought it might be worth giving it a go whilst we wait for referral. We have tried flax seed oil in the past and he didn't tolerate it, even mixed into food. I'm hoping to find some sort of chewy sweet - do you know of anything? we are in the UK so that may limit our options. Thanks.

just found this: http://www.vitabiotics.com/Wellkid/c...aspx?source=wg - do you think it would contain enough omega 3 to be beneficial?

I can't speak to the omega 3 supplement, but have you identified what's causing the eczema, sleep and behavior problems? A lot of time it's food that's the culprit. Not sure if you're looking into that. Eczema can be food allergy or intolerance or environmental allergy, the other two could definitely be food intolerance. And if that's the issue, than an omega 3 supplement isn't going to cure it (though it might help the skin). Just something to think about.

Walnuts are a good source, too, if he'll eat them.
