Best carrier for nursing?!

I'm sure this has been asked before, but my lazy searching brought up more specific questions.

What's the best carrier for nursing a baby in? Is this answer different for newborns -vs- older babies? I'm particular interested in newborns, but would love to hear all advice you ladies have!

I had supply issues with dd, so I am really thinking ahead about nursing constantly, etc. This baby will be born in the summer and I'm sure we'll be out and about a lot, I want to really make sure I have a carrier that's comfortable to whip out the boob in at all times.

I already have a basic Mai Tei and a WAHM-made ring sling that I found at Goodwill. I think I will also have a Moby, but those don't seem to be ideal for nursing. I am definitely open to purchasing another that will work best for our nursing needs.

Thanks!

I absolutely loved our Ring Sling, and dd spent most of the day as a newborn in it. It was so easy to nurse and wear her simultaneously. That being said, She was born Dec.22 (in Toronto, Canada) and we spent most of our time at home for the first 6 months. We then started using an Ergo and fell in love with it, too. I've seen but not used the Ergo infant insert.

Well, for slightly older babies the mei tai was my go-to for nursing.

For younger babies either the ring sling or the moby-style would work fine.

My ring sling was by far the easiest to nurse in regardless of age! The built-in tail cover is a bonus!

I think RS are good for nursing at all ages. They are easily adjustable, can nurse in a cradle position or upright as they get older, and the tail can be nice coverage. I never really did master nursing and walking comfortably in a RS...It always seemed to slip, leave me overexposed, etc, We did it, but it never felt like the best option.
I think the Ergo is super easy to nurse in. You can just loosen the straps a little to lower them and no one has any idea what you are up to. We nursed everywhere this way without ever really slowing down. Some people are huge mei tai fans and I know it works really well for them. Mei tai's were just never the most comfortable way to wear my lil one for me personally.
I also LOVE nursing in a wrap. I find it really easy to simply untie, loosen a touch, lower and nurse. We also nursed all around town like that, my guy was cozy, and nobody had a clue.
The pouch never worked well for nursing for us. Since it isn't adjustable, I could never seem to get him in a good position
Good luck!
