International Travel for the UnVaxed?

Hello! My husband and I want to go to Monteal soon, and hope to take our son (now 4.5 months) with us. Does anyone know what airline and travel regulations exist for unvaxinated children traveling internationally? I'd hate to get stuck somewhere because of paperwork. TIA

Did you mean Montreal? As in Canada? Are you traveling from the states? If so there is no regulations when it comes to Vaccination. Canada doesn't even regulate vaccination for schools in most provinces.

LOL I did mean Montreal. My typos are getting more and more frequent from typing one handed LOL. That's sweet that the vaccination isn't so heavily enforced. I was mostly wondering though about if I can get back into the states...you know us wackos....those of us who actually live here have a heck of a time at airports. Border patrol is so messed up.

Are you flying or driving? A land crossing is probably easier, but seriously, it's Canada. And, your son is young enough that you don't even have to get in to "unvaxed", you can just be taking things slowly (I mean, that can be the explanation). I wouldn't worry about it. At all. Or, have your husband deal with the baby part of immigration, if anyone asks. We have friends who do this every time their (very accident prone) children go to the ER. Dr.: "Is Johnny up to date on his vaccines?", Dad: "As far as I know". Smile, nod. The kid is as up to date as the parents have decided to have him be (as in, hasn't received any!), but the mom is the primary medical decision maker. So, dad just tells the truth - everything is taken care of. He doesn't have to lie or go in to details because "My wife takes care of all that stuff".
But, again, I say, don't worry. I've crossed the border many, many a time, and my LO has as well (more tha once at the Levi crossing too!). No one has ever, ever asked us about vaccines.

Well, I live in Michigan, and it feels as though Canada is an extension of us. We have crossed the border numerous times without so much as a question regarding vax status. We don't have children, but I did a lot of research on what to take last time we crossed because of the whole do you need a passport/do you not issue. There was nothing about vax records.

We went to China in 2009 and there was nothing asked about vaccinations there or in Korea (we went through customs there as well for a tourist event) and nothing when we got back to the US afterwards (flew into LAX). That was also during the outbreak of Swine Flu/H1N1.

I don't think vaccination comes up with officials anywhere in the North America or Europe or Australia/NZ. I recall some African countries may require proof of something in order to obtain a certain type visa, but that was it.

I've brought my daughter to Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Israel, England, all without issue.

We live in China with 3 unvaxed kiddos (#1 partially vaxed until she had a reaction at age 2 mo.)

International air travel is not a problem at all, with the exception of a few countries (in S. America, and Africa I think) where Yellow Fever vax is required before being granted entry, and you need a slip for that.
