Shelf-stable ready to eat

Traditional foods (gluten free) --do they exist? I'm in the military, about to deploy and will only be offered MREs for the next several months. I can order food to be delivered, but I will have no way to refrigerate or cook anything. I have to be able to open the package and stick my fork in. Also, where would I find these items?

I'm not sure about traditional but if you will have access to water, it states hot or cold, here are some that might work...

ETA:
http://www.myownmeals.com/ - These look more like MREs where you don't need to add anything and they seem to have less processed ingredients.

Really all I can think of is canned fish/seafood.

Thanks--I even talked to the head cook and they will get me the GF MREs.

LARA bars, though not strictly traditional, are easy to tote along with you for a snack. Nuts, dried/dehydrated fruit, canned fish.

Can you take supplements? I love Garden of Life's Perfect Food, which you can get in tablets and take on an empty tummy. But I'm also a huge fan of raw almonds and walnuts, almond butter, peanut butter, canned sardines, raisins, trail mix (made of nuts, coconut flakes and raisins), and of course, tablespoons of raw honey and molasses for minerals, enzymes, energy and extra nutrients. Wow, God bless you, friend! I'll keep you in my prayers! BTW, my best friend is currently traveling the world to 11 different countries in 11 months for missions, and she's allergic to gluten, dairy, soy and corn. So far, God's been taking care of her.
