First baby,head not engaged yet,39 weeks

Should i be worried? I'm 3 cm dilated,the doctor is able to touch the head while checking the cervix,but it's not fixed down there yet.

I fear i might go overdue.I haven't had any contractions whatsoever during the pregnancy.Is there any chances that the baby will descent as theearly labor starts?
I know the baby might have a cord around her neck or shoulder but i was told that the cord is long enough and i shouldn't worry about it.

Any thoughts?

There was a similar thread on this recently. Both my daughters did not engage until well into labor. Both were born on their due dates.

None of my kids engaged prior to labor and all were born near their due dates.
