3rd Grade Literature Suggestions

My 7 year old son dove into the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books. He was able to read each in less than a day. LOVES them! I've never seen him so excited over a book - even the Percy Jackson books that I read to him aren't met with such enthusiasm.

So, now I'm putting together a list of books for him to read next year. I'd love for my son to be a part of the selection process. I just don't know where to start! When I let him loose in the library, he usually comes back with material he's not ready for (much too high reading level and mature themes). So, please, suggest some books for our homeschooling adventure next year!

Thank you!

It sounds like he reads pretty well. Has he read the 39 clues books yet. My fourth grader is currently enjoying them. They are a quick read for her, but they are fun & exciting. I've read them too. I personally like Percy Jackson better, but these are fun as well. Book 7 just came out. If I understand correctly, there will be 10 books in all. (They get more than one clue in most books)
