Steaming & Pureeing Meats - Help!

I just purchased the Beaba Babycook, and I am very interested in making meat in it. I am a bit confused, though...

Do I put the meat in RAW, and then steam it to cook it? I have never steam cooked meat before, so I am totally lost.

Any tips? Even if you don't use the Beaba, anyone else steam meats?

Thanks!

You can grind the beef or chicken first or buy ground chicken/beef, then cook it, THEN use the babycook...ive never used this item but i imagine it doesnt have enough power to grind meat into paste.

otherwise you kill all the vitamins.

Steaming meat is only good for fish. Chicken and beef dont steam well because by the time you steam it enough to cook the inside totally, the outside is a rubbery tough mess.

Hmmm...very interesting.

In the Beaba "Cooking Guide" it lists Red Meat, Poultry and Fish and their "cooking times." This is why I am so confused. Also, in their Recipe book that came with it, there are recipes for Chicken, Beef, and Fish. I actually think it is supposed to "cook" them, but the directions are lacking in detail....

If they do cook them, i imagine it probably overcooks them to ensure doneness...i would still use ground meats to be sure that they are chopped fine enough.

Thanks for the advice - I actually hadn't thought of using ground meat...makes a lot more sense!

Anyone else out there have the Beaba and make meats with it?
