Itchy!

OMGoodness!
The spot on my back where the tape held the tube down is killing me. it's a perfect square of raised itchy skin, I want to tear it off it itches so bad! And just in general I itch, and my perineum stitches are driving me crazy as well.
So postpartum itching, normal or not?

(oh yeah I did have a reaction to the epidural, but that was over a week ago, it shouldn't still be bothering me, right?)

ddc crashing but at least for your back, you might have reacted to the adhesive in the tape. I have totally had that happen to me before and it is seriously torture!!

I remember (both from 7 years ago and with some other medical procedures, non-pregnancy related) that the residue from the tape stuck around for a good long time, so I bet that's what's making you itch. And of course, the epidural tape would be right where you can't get to it!

Sounds like contact dermatitis as a reaction to the adhesive - my Dr recommended cortisol cream to clear the itch. it worked, but not sure if it's ok when breastfeeding...
