I just posted a great big revelation to me in my blog, and it's something I'm not ready to share with my husband yet. You don't have to comment on it or anything, just let me know that you read it. Being heard right now is enough, you know?

That sounds really tough, but it seems like you're starting to deal with the heart of the problem. I wish you healing.

From one daddy-less little girl (now grown woman) to another.

I understand the feeling of wanting a mommy and not just a mother. I know when I look at my little kids, dancing with delight at something that my "mother" never appreciated that moment the way a "mommy" would have.

Good luck on your journey of healing

I read your post, Kris.

I adopted my DD. Thanks for your perspective. It helps me see through her eyes.

My older sister was adopted and she was never easy to be around. I struggled for years to love her. Thank you for your perspective, it does help the understanding.

I can relate to your post, mama. I have a father but not a "Daddy" too. It has been hard but I'm working through resigning myself to the fact that he never was and never would be what I needed.
