Did you go into labor around the same time of day/night with each of your babies? - Page 2

Nope. With my first, prodromal labor started in the morning around 9:00 and then active labor probably started around 9:00 pm. I ended up having him at 11:30 Pm, the following day. With my second, I woke up at 1:30 AM with contractions 2-3 minutes apart and had her at 5:00 am.

I guess so:
#1, ctx started @ 5 pm, went to hospital @ 1am, she was born @5:48am(4 hrs later)
#2, ctx started @8 pm, midwives got to house @ 11pm, she was born @ 1:20 am
#3 ctx started 9 pm(during Easter production dress rehearsal- I was running the soundboard!), assistants(we UC'd) got there @11pm, he was born@8:30am(he was posterior for all but the last 2 hrs)
The oldest was born the day before Thanksgiving, the youngest on Good Friday, and the middle was 2 weeks after New Years- we have sometimes forgotten her birthday accidently!

Yes.

Mine were opposites. DS1 labor started around 8pm, and was born 2:14pm the next day. DS2 labor started around 12pm, and he was born 7:37pm that same day.

Nope.

#1: Water broke spontaneously at midnight, he was born around 11 a.m.
#2: Contrax began at 4 a.m., she was born around 3 p.m.
#3: Water broke spontaneously at 3:30 a.m., she was born around 5:30 a.m. by emergency c-section (placental abruption)

Yes, all 3 of mine were born at my favorite time of day and my labors all started at about the same time. All of my labors started at approx. midnight with light contractions all night (I just went back to sleep, lol!). I lost my mucous plug with all three in the mid-morning hours (around 10am-ish), contractions picked up around dinnertime and they were all born in the evening. I'm a evening sort of night owl and I believe that early morning hours are for sleeping only! LOL! I assured my midwife that she wouldn't get a 2am call from me.

DS1- 9:23 (but I let them augment with Pitocin... if I hadn't he probably would have been born a little later)
DD- 11:15 (natural birth)
DS2- 11:49 (natural birth at home)

Both of mine started early in the morning, after a refreshing sleep--how great is that?

I have 5 children. All of my labors started in the pre-dawn hours while I was asleep, so I was woke up with contractions. All of them were born in the afternoon.

All 5 of mine were also born within 1-2 days of their due dates. I believe 2 were born right on their due dates, 1 the day before, and 1 was born days after. None of them were induced.....1 hospital birth and 4 homebirths.

I'm expecting #6 in May and wondering if the pattern will hold true. Honestly, I would live to have a baby in the middle of the night when the house is quiet.

I sure hope this labor follows a different pattern than my DD's! I went into labor around 9:00 PM and labored all night long. She was born at 5:50 AM. Talk about exhausting! I would love to go into labor after a good night's sleep this time!

Yep.

Ds#1 - contractions started at midnight, he was born just after 6 am.
Ds#2 - contractions started at 12:30am, he was born at 6:30 am.

So pretty darn close.

The timing was similar.

Baby #1 - About 5 a.m. on Monday morning

Baby #2 - About 2 a.m. on Monday morning

yes, all started mild contractions early in the morning (8amish), picked up by lunch into active labour, and were all born after lunch .. one at 3:43, one at 4:15 and one at 1:20.

my dd started labor RIGHT as I was in bed. Literally I went to bed, tried to sleep, and the contractions kept me awake. Then I went on to have an extremely long labor and a c-section. and no sleep! STINKER!

ds, labor started at 1pm, right after I'd had a VERY restful nights sleep. I slept in till like 11 and had had around 12 hours sleep. So enough time to get my day started before ctx started. Successful hbac!

I sure hope the rest of my babies follow ds's lead.. that was unbelievably perfect timing

No. I never had a single contraction with dd1.

With ds1, I went into labour sometime between supper and bedtime (hard to pin down, as it started as nothing but a backache).

With ds2, I went into labour at more-or-less the same time. After I got home from the OB appointment, where he told me to have the section the next day, as scheduled, or he'd drop me from "care", I had a cider. I was a ball of stress (and anger, fear, denial, etc.). That seemed to relax me enough that true labour started an hour or two later - I'd been having "false" labour for about a week or 10 days. I laboured all night, and had a section early the next afternoon.

With Aaron, I started false labour in the afternoon (on our way to pick up a carseat, actually). I went into real labour 12 days later, in the wee small hours...maybe 3:00??

And, with dd2, I had a scheduled section, and had a handful of contractions, plus a bit of bloody show, less than an hour before I had to leave for surgery. That was about...9:00 in the morning, I think.

Nope. My first I went into labor around 10pm (six days overdue) and labored for 15 hard hours. My second I went into labor at 4:30pm (one day early) and labored for 2.5 hours! BUT both labors began right after I finally quit working.

With #2 and #3, my water broke at exactly 11:30 pm, with contractions beginning a few minutes later, both times.

There ends the similarity, though. #2 was born 2.5 hours later, but #3 took a leisurely 10.5 hours.
