Leg Pain question...

Thread Starter
I haven't been posting, just lurking... I'm 32 weeks due April 2 with my third.
I have been having leg cramps at night that started about 2 weeks ago, give or take? but it's changed... .
I need advice ladies!!! I'm having pain in my legs and I was thinking it's just nocturnal leg cramps, but now it lasts all day long. It's like I've worked out hard the day before and my muscles are sore?? Anyone else feeling this?
Last night I had a severe cramp in my right thigh... previously they were just in calves and feet.
My MIL just had a big blood clot scare so now of course I'm paranoid about that.. but I've never had a clot before, and my bp is great. any thoughts? should I call the OB?

If you are concerned, I would call your care provider. Otherwise you may need to up your magnesium/calcium supplement. Obviously, I'm not a health care provider, but upping my intake of mag/cal stopped mine. Check with your OB.

I started taking a cal/mag... not even remembering it every day... and it really helped. The leg cramps are SO much better with this pregnancy than the last

I'll chime in and agree with the cal/mag supplement.

I started having leg cramps this pregnancy and my midwife suggested I start taking it. I haven't had any since.

I had crazy intense leg cramps with my first somewhere around 13w...went to the eER and all as I couldn't stand up...turns out my potassium was low...

When this starts with me I start taking Flora's liquid Calcium/Magnesium before bed. It helps sooo much. The cramps were so awful that I would be sore for days on end afterward...just like if I had run a marathon or something! I'm wondering if that might be what you are describing?

Also consider adding more potassium to your diet.

I had monster leg cramps that lasted days. The potassium made it go away and haven't had one since.

I would up your Calcium/Magnesium intake too or take a supplement.
