Anyone still wear their preschool age child?

So, I still wear my DD on a daily basis. I wear her to her preschool, which is about a 7 minute walk, but when DD is walking it takes about 20 minutes. It works well for us, but I think sometimes people are giving me strange looks and really believe she is too old.
She is a big 3 year old....recently had a growth spurt and weighs about 36lbs and is 40 inches tall, but I am still very comfortable with her in a back carry....and I am a petite woman! I prefer my Ergo over the Toddler Patapum that I have, but recently made the switch to the Patapum due to the extra length it has on the torso (I undid some of the straps so that it is structure like the Ergo - otherwise it was too difficult to thread DD's feet through the extra straps, not to mention that is was not as comfortable).

So....please tell me I am not the only one who still carries there non-babe!

Hiya -
My hubby still wears our 3yr old son in the Ergo - I know he weighs at least 36lbs by now...

My DD isn't a preschooler yet, but I'm absolutely planning to wear her as long as she'll let me We're still wrapping several times a day here and DD is just over 13 months old now. I don't personally know anyone IRL who babywears period, let alone wears a bigger kid, but there are tons of other mamas out there who wear their preschoolers. You're not the only one!

Occasionally. She's 4.5 now.

I still wrap my dd - she's on the smaller side, 30 lbs, 38". Mostly when she's sick/crabby/overtired, or I'm vacuuming (she's scared of the vacuum).

I wore pretty often at three. At almost 6, I still wear, though rarely -- but if he's sleeping and we get to the store, I'll wrap him, or if we're on a long walk and I know his legs will get tired, I'll bring the wrap.

Pretty often. DS is 3 years 8 months, about 36 pounds, and has sensory processing disorder. Being carried upright and rocked is just about his most favorite thing in the world. Until recently I carried him on my back in our BabyHawk mei tai, but on the day I found myself putting him in the mei tai, with one ring sling wrapped around my hips to tuck his legs in and another around my chest to tuck him arms in because he wanted to be completely covered, I went out and got a long Hoppediz. I can wrap him up completely in that and he can tuck his head down when he needs to tune the world out for a while.

I do. DD is 3, almost 32 pounds and about 40 inches tall. I use a KangaXT. I get looks sometimes, especially when I remove her from my (DIY) babywearing coat. I've actually had people comment when I took her out b/c they expected her to be much smaller. I even had a friend of a friend recently comment on how DD is so long and "it's time to start walking". But here's the thing, I don't have a car. I walk to about 95% of the places we go and it is a PITA to take the stroller on the bus or subway. So, until DD can pick up the pace on foot, or my back can't take it anymore, she's going to be attached to me.

I also use the Ergo with my DD.
She is a tall girl and we often get strange looks but we really like it.
