Ever see 'Perfume: Story of a Murder'?

Ugh! The beginning was hard to bear. But the end? Absurd.

I haven't but I have added it and removed it from my netflix queue more than once.

I so thought you were gonna say Paper Heart...such a bad movie.

I thought you were going to say you just watched "Drag Me to Hell." I just saw this and it was horrid. Just horrid.

Aww, Perfume is one of my favourite novels. I think it would make more sense if you had read the book first. Not something I pictured coming off well in a film, though it was still intriguing to me. To each his or her own!

Little known fact: "Scentless Apprentice" by Nirvana is about that novel.

I loved the book, too, but you're absolutely right: I can't see it being a terrific movie. It was even an unusual book!

Oh, I just have to laugh. I just saw that and I LOVED it. I thought it was perfect (for the genre).

It's making sense to me that it was originially a book. I think Tom Twyker is a good director but maybe some subjects, and this is one of them, just don't translate to film.
I mean that scene when Grenouille is to be executed and everyone starts taking off their clothes and making out? It's just embarassing

I have heard of that book but I didn't know that there was an actual movie on it. I wonder if the book is just as horrible.

I liked perfume...the movie birth...Now that is reallyyy bad.

Dh said it was a really good book. I remember watching that last scene in the movie like "WTH is going on here??" Very awkward and out of nowhere!

The ending was ridiculous seriously
And Avatar the worst film in movie industry and the most overrated.

I saw Perfume and while I can't say that I loved it, it was weird and kind of fascinating. Think I'm gonna read the book. Also, I totally agree with mami to 3 @ Avatar. The visuals were cool but when I think back to seeing the movie, all I think about is the boring overdone plot. Nothing stuck with me, it was so typical. Blech!

It's seriously one of my favorite books. Wasn't super crazy about movie version. The ending scene is better explained in the book, and it makes a lot of sense as a natural plot progression. I could see it being kind of out of nowhere in the movie.

Octopus was the worst movie I've ever seen. I LOVE cheezy B sci-fi/horror movies. This is my FAVORITE genre, but I couldn't make it through this movie. I turned it off.

Maybe I will try again sometime. Or not.

Will not add Perfume to my queue, but may read the book...I am curious now.

I thought you were going to say "The Box" - soooo lame.
