Parenting/Life as a Parent

I like the way the Parenting section has been condensed but would like to suggest that the sub-forums under the main Parenting heading and the ones under Life as a Parent be merged or ordered in a different way.

I don't see what the distinction is between Parenting or Life as a Parent. What is the difference?

I don't see why these all wouldn't be together. Why would adoptive and blended parenting be in one but single and queer in another?

One is about the parent the other is about the kids.

Plus if we do it that way it is a big huge overwhelming pile of subs and things are harder to find

I'm sorry. That makes no sense.

Why don't they have children in the title then? They all have parenting in the title which to me means they are about parenting. Which covers both the adult and the child in relationship to one another.

I am guessing that the second category is the one that is about parents? I guess that because it has PaP and dads in it.

Blended and single parenting are two of my most visited forums so I will use them as example.

Both forums talk about issues of the parent and of the child. Parenting. How are they different from one another??

The adoptive forum has a focus on the child it is about parenting an adopted child. Blended would entail a 'focus' on discussions surrounding parenting within a blended family. Most or all of the threads should be about children.

The other forums have a focus surrounding the adults in the situation. Many of the threads won't be about children at all but other adults or situations adults face.

Could both forums contain threads about both children and parents? Yes, they would contain both but the difference is the focus.

We kept them separate because we didn't want the huge jumble of subforums that we had before we rearranged them, this seemed like reasonable division.
