Do NOT eat this for breakfast

Ummm, just in case anyone else was thinking about doing this...do NOT eat Chex Muddy Buddies for breakfast. It might occur to you that Chex is a breakfast cereal...and peanut butter is good for you...and a little chocolate won't hurt you...and oh neither will the powdered sugar. Holy cow, my blood sugar is going crazy, I think I might barf. Stick with eggs and oatmeal people!

are you sure...cause it sounds REALLY good...like run to the store this minute and make some kind of good...lol. Maybe if I eat it with some cheese?? lol sorry you feel crummy

ROFL! I'm sorry you ate too much. Thankfully, it doesn't sound good in the least to me! I love that stuff at the holidays, though!

Lol, I am recovered, don't worry, but I threw the rest of the batch in the trash.

I have to admit I've totally thought that same thing. . .and indulged (whilst hiding from the kids) for breakfast. . .my blood sugar was all wacky that day too. . .but I didn't throw the rest of it out, I ate it later in the day

I've totally done that. It lasted like 2 days, then I just ignored the bowl of muddy buddies for a week or so because I couldn't even think of trying to eat anymore.

ROFL, homemade breakfast candy!!! And to think I thought you had to buy breakfast candy in a box with a cutesy label and a bogus health claim on it.

mmmm...I've been thinking about making some of this for the past week. You may have just put me over the edge. I have all the ingredients on hand too, it's just a matter of putting it together.

Just don't eat it for breakfast!

I wonder how it would stack up next to a poptart or doughnut, for example... my kids would love it if I served muddy buddies for breakfast {{but aint gonna happen, lol}} I can only imagine the blood sugar crash and burn.

In my professional experience, the only way to control rapid blood sugar cycling after a breakfast of candy is to follow it with protein, fat, and course, more sugar. Best acheived by an entire pint of ben and jerry's for a snack, cheesecake and fried chicken for lunch. Then you've got all your fat and protein in for the day and can focus on the carbs. Although I am now retired from the crap for breakfast profession, still tempted to come out of retirement.
