Buying in Bulk-where to store?

So, I can buy bulk flours and grains by the 25-50 lb. bag and get a 10-20% discount. I would really enjoy this, however I'm vexed on where to store it. I have an awesome basement, but it's unfinished with dirt floors. Would it be possible to store it down there? What sort of containers should I use? There is no room inside the house-it's an 80 year old house with no storage at all inside.

I use food grade 5 gallon buckets with gamma seal lids. I get mine from my Azure Standard buying club. They are also available online.

You could put it in those large tupperware like storage containers with lids and keep in basement. I do this with my dog's dogfood.
