My 17 month old daughter poked herself in the eye with her finger yesterday. She didn't cry so I didn't think much of it until we were nursing a few hours later and I noticed a small spot of red blood in the white part of her eye. I freaked out for a second, but the eye looks fine. She wasn't squinting, rubbing or touching it, so I decided to see what it was like this morning.

It was fine this morning, no crust, no tears, no swelling, but the red spot is still there. Should I just continue to monitor this, or should I call the doctor? The red spot is about the size of the head of a pin and it is on the white part of the eye only.

Thanks
