Toddler mugs or tea cups

DD is 20 months and becoming proficient with a little cup. Today she had some herbal tea at an activity out of a tiny tea cup and she adored it. I would love to get her a few little tea cups or mugs for warm beverages. Does anyone know where I could find tiny ceramic cups without purchasing an entire tea set that seems geared towards a much older child? Or is she ready for an inexpensive tea set when they all say they are for ages 3 or 4 and up?

Are you looking for a play tea set or a mug/ tea cup so she can sit with you and drink? We got my DD some little mugs last year (prob same age as your DD). I believe they were marketed as espresso cups though. They have held up great. i found them at Cost Plus World Market (the one near me went out of busniess though, so...)

Something for her to sit with me and drink. So something food and warm beverage safe. And I am fairly careful about dining ware safety, so how they are made and possibly troubling chemicals are a concern.

Espresso mugs are a good suggestion. Thank you!

I would second espresso cups, that's what ds uses. We have an enameled one from teh camping section and some ceramic ones from thrift stores.

Yup. DS uses our espresso cups for hot cider and "cofffee" (rice milk with a few drops of coffee in it).

lina uses our regular mugs. 3/4 full and cool enough to drink. She does know how to blow on her tea though.

DS likes to drink his tea and hot chocolate out of espresso cups I got at Ikea for like $2.50 each and they include little saucers

DS likes my espresso cups and saucers. If you search on demitasse, you'll likely find a variety of styles. I bought mine at World Market, I think. Possibly Ikea, but I'm thinking World Market.

I also bought demitasse spoons and cocktail forks and World Market. They're the twisted steel set. Nice and easy to grip, perfect for little hands. I didn't realize they sell little spreader knives, too. I might have to pick those up.
