#3 for me was 13 days after my due date...but she did come, a nice healthy baby...and she didn't look overdue either! Hang in there mama!

Are you sure on your dates? If you ovulated later than normal, but went by LMP, you would appear to be further along than maybe you are - for instance, with this one,I didn't ovulate until CD21, so if I went to 42 weeks from LMP, I'd actually only be 41 weeks pregnant based on ovulation.

At any rate - congrats for carrying this long! He/she will come eventually! (and most very likely within the next week!)

I felt the same way!! Just try try try to be patient- it will happen!
Unfortunately, I let my OB convince me to be induced at 42 weeks, which is an absolute nightmare. As long as baby keeps checking out ok and you're ok too, just wait- cuz the baby doesn't feel it's time yet. Risking a bigger baby is not worth the risk of the nightmare that induction can bring.
I have my own little theory that being induced has effected my ds.. he absolutely HATES being told when to leave, even if we're leaving to go to a toy store, it doesn't matter. If I back off, he'll decide he's ready soon enough. I feel like maybe I pushed him (literally and figuratively) to be born too soon, though I thought it was too late.

41w 5d from LMP for me. Not sure I was really mentally "ready" until a good 40w6d or so. I had a NST to double check that I could just keep waiting. i also got some acupuncture done in the couple of days before I actually started labor. You might consider that as a easy, natural boost to getting started.

Both my babes were over due. IT sucks and feels like forever but its important to let the baby cook for when it wants too. Dd1 was induced with cervical gel. It was okay, she was 10 days overdue and I hadn't really educated myself. My ob at the time was one of those tupes who c-sections on the 42 week mark. Luckily it turned out fine.

d2 was with midwives in another country. I used castor oil and she came 9 days overdue. I went with this because here the docs want to induce at 10 days post dates and I had already bargined and got myself an extra 4 days. So I figured what the heck and took the castor oil (not nearly as bad as everyone says btw, and would totally do it again).

Anyway, its tough but hang in there. Your babe will come!

I second the acupuncture. It's very relaxing. Also massage or pedicure!

I went in to be induced at 42 weeks exactly but the cervadil pessary was enough to make me deliver in 4 hrs. The OB said it wasn't the cervadil, my body was just ready but who knows...
