Nope. My mom had long labors (11 hours plus) with all 5 of hers. all mine were 4 hours or less.

My Mom's first was me and it was about 9 hours. She was drugged and only has foggy memories of my birth. Her first 3 were all girls and around 5-9 hours with water breaking in the later stages. Her 4th was a boy and he was born just like my boys. He was born in around an hour with the first sign of labour being the water breaking. My boys were born 2.5 hours and 25 minutes with my first indication of labour being my water breaking. I'm kinda curious if my labour would be longer if I had a girl but no chance of that now.

My Mom and I seem to be almost exactly the same with ours. Her labor with me was 30+ hrs, and I was 8 Ibs even. My labor with DS was 30+ hrs, he was 7 Ibs 15 oz. We both went 2 days past our due dates.

We also carried EXACTLY the same way, all out front and huge, I mean HUGE bellies but almost no weight gain anywhere else.

I also look like a younger version of her too LOL. We joke I am her doppleganger. Even our fingernalils look identical.

My mother's first labor (with me) was induced, and it was about 5 hours long (back in the day when they gave you a LOT of pit at one time, plus scope, so she's foggy on the details).

My first labor was 36 hours long, and it ended in a c-section. I'm the only person in either of our families to have a c-section.
