zone 6 frost dates clarification?

Trying to plan my (first) spring sq ft garden and getting lots of different dates depending on the source. I've read everything from late April to late May as last frost and don't know which date to use!

What do those of you in zone 6 go by? I'm in the Worcester area of Massachusetts.

Hello!

I'm a first time gardener, using containers, in Arlington, so close to you.

I am following this blogger. She is in our area and is really experienced. I'm just going to do what she does. Except I will not be starting my seedlings as early as she does. I bet you could leave a comment on her blog and she will respond. Enjoy your garden!

hmmm - i know i am in zone 6 in nyc, but i grew up in western MA and thought that was zone 5?? (is worchester right on the border of 5/6?) Anyway, just thought I'd throw that out there, but I am a novice too so take it with a grain of salt

I'm a bit southeast of worcester. I just typed my zip code into a site and it told me I was zone 6, so not sure other than that. I do think I must be close to the line because on the color maps I can't really tell what zone I should be in.
