EDD was 1/24 and today I had an ultrasound/biophysical profile. HB midwives were great, both even came to the ultrasound appointment. DS scored 6/8, we didn't see any practice breathing. But everything else was great.
I've tried just about every natural induction technique including some my mw's wouldn't recommend because I'm a VBAC. I was unprepared for how emotional being postdate is...it's been very, very difficult mentally and emotionally.
After the appt we sat down and came up with a plan. At my request, on Wednesday they will come to the house and we will try to induce using the foley catheter and nipple stimulation. A stretch and sweep will also be an option if I've already dilated more that the foley would open me. We have a backup OB who has ok'd the plan (he's almost 2 hours away but according to mw's very VBAC friendly). MW's will do intermittent monitoring during the induction. If necessary we will transfer care to the OB/hospital and add pitocin in order to induce.
Main objective is to of course have a healthy baby - vaginally if at all possible - and by the end of the week!!
