how to pass the time during a potty pause.

so i guess i am looking for some creative mental health moments. i did this once before with my daughter but i suppose i blacked out the really tough parts and focused on the successes.

we are at 10 mo and he is seriously testing the poop issue, which his sister NEVER did. He likes to be held in the classic position for almost all elimination (unless her REALLY has to go) He has been holding the pee longer but also having a lot more misses. Also all of the poops this week have been in the pants. even when i knew one was coming and took him every time he grunted.. he twisted out of the hold and i put him down, until i went to help his sister for 5 min, and came back to poop in the trainer. !!!!

ok that is my vent. we will keep going on because 1)he hates diaper changes and 2) i sold them all to afford trainers.

Any funny/ cute stress reliving things you do to get by.

I did eventually discover that cleaning poop out of trainers was easier than cleaning it out of big ole diapers! I've always just tried to remember that something big and/or painful must be going on, as in they might be teething or about to say a word or start walking or experiment with independence, or whatever.

You're not the only one! I don't have anything funny and cute, maybe later or with my next one, I'll think of something funny!

We have a potty pause going on here! This is the first time its happened. Dd is 8 months old. She's getting her 3rd tooth, and just began 'crawling' (actually dragging herself around on the wood floor!) She does *not* want to sit on her bblp. And hates diaper changes all of a sudden and twists around whatever position I try to put her in.
A very big streak of independence all of a sudden!!!

I'm trying to back off EC. But its a difficult adjustment for me!!
