what are your favorite reads about the civil rights movement in the U.S., or post-1968 work against racism?

suggestions for pre-1950s reads also would be welcome.

presently working through Taylor Branch's trilogy on "America in the King years"

I found A Taste of Power by Elaine Brown really interesting, lots to think about there, including about the intersection between gender and race.
