Hales Lookup Please!

I'm wondering if it's safe to do a RID Lice shampoo treatment. DD had a huge crop of lice and nits that I removed today but I have been itchy myself recently. DH said he doesn't see any in my hair but I don't trust 'not seeing' anything. I'd like to do a shampoo to be on the safe side but am concerned with the insecticides seeping into my skin and through my breastmilk.

The active ingredients are:
Piperonyl butoxide (4%)
Pyrethrum extract (equivalent to 0.33% pyrethrins)

TIA!

This website is run by the National Library of Medicines. The listings are pretty medical, but it's a good resource if you don't have access to the Hale & Hartman book. Yes, your topical treatment is safe in breastfeeding.
Good luck.

Thanks for that website.

I pumped and am holding on to it. DH gave him a bottle of previously expressed milk so he's good until the next feeding when I will nurse him then.
