Hi Mama's
I have a 4 yo DS who is not ready for his own bed. And we love having him in the bed. I am expecting #2 in August, and I'm starting to wonder about how the logistics can work. I know not to leave the two of them alone in the bed, I plan to keep #2 with me until I go to bed, at least at first. Thinking about getting a tres tria to separate them when they baby gets a little bigger and I want to leave them both in bed.
Right now DS is sleeps in the middle, we have a king bed, he is SN and still nurses a little at night, and often looks for me, has nightmares/terrors, etc. I am trying to switch DH to the nighttime parenting, but he wakes so slowly, I can have the problem dealt with and practically be back to sleep before he wakes up and figures out there's an issue, KWIM?
So... what about switching sides with the baby to nurse? gradually switch DS to sleeping on the other side of DH with a bedrail?
Anyone out there been through this and can offer some tips, encouragement, practical advice?
