List of great part-time at home careers

Any one have one?

I recently saw a job posted and was simply not qualified for it, but *could* imagine doing the hours (16 hours, mainly during the day). The career I am trained for is a hands-on, away from home gig and I really don't want to head down that path right now.

I decided I am willing to get more training to do a job like the one I saw (Web Assistant), but was wondering if there was a list of other careers that could fall into these hours too.

I'm thinking techie stuff - database QA is good, web management, etc, but would love to just explore some options before taking classes.

Freelance writing is a great gig.

Oooo - tell me more. I have always thought freelance writing was a "luck-based" career. My background is health care and grant writing, so I have considered writing for those areas. I just did not want to get all set up for a writing career and have it fizzle due to bad luck.

Check out both elance.com and demandstudios.com. Elance is for longer term work, typically. At DS you can write articles on various topics and be paid twice a week. Articles are about $15/article (which is not much for a writer, but it's steady pay) and range from "How to Become a Midwife in the UK" to "Secular Degrees for Pastors."

I'm enjoying the work.
