Can't believe I'm actually asking this..."are these ctx?"

Never thought I'd ask. I guess I'm just so used to either definite BH, definite cramps or definite labor ctx (as I woke up with COMPLETELY different- obvious- ctx last time). I just can't identify this feeling, and I KNOW I've felt it before (and I also know that I felt it IN labor last time- well into labor, which I obviously am NOT right now). But starting this afternoon, I've been feeling occasional pressure/aches in a localized area above my pubic bone, I guess? Sometimes my belly tightens just like my regular ol' BH at the same time, other times I'm not sure since I haven't been paying much attention. But I can't really describe the feeling much better than that. It's become more frequent as the evening has progressed. I get it mostly when up and moving but sometimes can feel it (though dull-y) when just sitting. The thing that makes me wonder is just how it comes and goes (though I haven't looked for any pattern). I checked my cervix because usually I can identify the "real" thing, if there's any question, because I can gauge the cervical change. The only thing I really notice is that my cervix is more anterior, not sure about dilation as it was a really quick check.

Sounds to me like some cervical activity though not labor contractions. I'm having the same, especially on more active days and at the end of the day.

Oops, forgot to update this...I guess in hindsight they were contractions for me! I started paying closer attention, and I've had some more since then. Not ALL my ctx feel that way, but definitely some of them do, I'm assuming it's something to do with the baby's position at the time.
