DD INSISTS on wearing her boots indoors

We have hardwood floors at home and I guess DD's feet our cold? Whenever we're at home she brings her Robeez boots over to met and asks me to put them on her. If I don't do it immediately she'll bother me until I do. She's been walking now for 4 months or so. Is there any harm in letting her wear shoes all the time? We don't let her walk around in her songs because it's too slippery so I guess her boots are the only way to go. FWIW our apartment is always pretty warm and DH and I never feel the need to wear shoes/socks inside.

I also wonder if part of it is that she just wants the practice of taking them on and off because she really wants to learn how to dress herself.

I wouldn't let her with ill-fitting or stiff shoes, but boots that you don't mind her wearing ever shouldn't be a problem.

I have a preschooler who would wear his boots to bed if we let him. I don't see the harm in letting her wear her boots around the house if that's what she wants, and I wouldn't worry that it means her feet are cold or whatever either. My interpretation would be that she thinks her boots are nifty, for whatever reason (she likes the way they look, or the color, or she likes to make stomping sounds, or she likes the fluffy lining, or she's got one of those unfathomable toddler obsessions going). So long as the boots fit, no harm in wearing 'em.
