If you use coconut oil deodorant, what do you use for laundry soap?

My husband and I have been happily and successfully using a mixture of baking soda and coconut oil for our deodorant the last month or so, but we've noticed it's starting to ruin our shirts!

What do you all use for laundry soap to get the oil stains out? We have VERY hard water. We were using Purex, but recently switched to Charlie's (and I add 1/4-1/2 c borax). I use cold water because these are cotton, darks, and more delicate-like. I don't want them to fade, run, shrink, and what-not.

TIA!

I have the same question. I have had to soak some of my shirts in oxyclean!

I've tried borax, regular soap, and zout. Finally got some oxyclean and add 1/2 scoop of that to my charlie's and it does the trick. So now while I don't mind my clothes being "oxy clean," I wish they didn't SMELL "oxy clean." I separate all the shirts and do them as one load so I don't have to have it all smell.

I use Country Save detergent and it gets the coconut oil out.

I gotta ask, how much CO are you all using???

I use it too, but only a little bit, and I don't use BS at all. And I have no oil stains on any of my shirts (mostly cotton t-shirts). It never occurred to me that might happen!

One thing I do is put the CO on after my shower and then it dries/gets absorbed before I actually put my shirt on. Maybe that would help avoid the staining to begin with?

We tried just the CO and we stunk! I have premixed the CO and BS and so I use about 1/8-1/4 tsp per arm? DH probably uses a little more and he's hairy. We've been trying to put it on as soon as we're out, but I can only delay putting on my shirt a couple of minutes. The stains don't appear overnight, it was kinda a build up over 3-4 weeks that we noticed the dark oil areas appearing.

Jessica, I'm gonna try the country save. I was hesitant to try any other "green" detergents before someone spoke up. So thank you!
