Did you...umm...pass a lot more gas prior to labor?

Yeah, that pretty much asks my question. I know there's a lot out there about loose stools and such, but I wondered how common gas is, too. (or instead)

Heh. I'll let you know, it would be nice to think it was a sign, because I'm pretty ready... :P

Heh, I'm only 32 weeks, but if you mean "all throughout your 3rd trimester" as "prior to labor", then yes!
Sorry I don't have a serious answer - but I keep hearing "flu like symptoms" (meaning intestinal distress) in our childbirth class, so I would imagine gas would be included!

I pass a lot more gas in just being pregnant! lol

Deff had VERY loose stools about a month before DS was born though. Think its the body's natural way of cleaning itself out before labour and birth!

I am having that. It started about 2 weeks ago, and it is just awful, especially for a usually-charming lady like I am who prefers to keep that kind of thing in the bathroom! I am also experiencing loose stools, and I think it is mainly because Baby is pressing into my intestines. I am 37 weeks. My kids and DH love it because I always like to act so shocked when they do it. Will they ever tire of making fun of me? I don't think so!

I hope you are feeling better soon, and holding a baby soon!

I remember the whole third trimester being that way. And when I found out where my intestines were toward the end, I was amazed that they were functional at all!

I hope your time is soon!
