Lipase once, lipase again??

Hello!
I am expecting my second child. With my first I had excessive lipase so he would not take any pumped breast milk. I am wondering if you have it once, do you always have it? In other words, will the milk sour again when I start nursing the second?
Thanks!

Not sure. I had high lipase all three times. But, my babies would still drink the milk.

I was just wondering the same thing? I was wondering if there is something that can be done now with diet or supplements while pg. I need to be able to pump this time.

So few people even knew how to help me with this problem the first time around. My LLL group helped me figure out what it was in the first place.

I don't know - I had high lipase with DD1 and I'm curious to see if I have it with DD2 as well. I am betting yes. You do know you can scald the milk to stop the lipase process and then it won't go sour right? It is a pain - just another step in the pumping process, but it works.
