Bottles for storing water

I'm looking for non-plastic water storage options--I guess glass or stainless steel. Preferably in 1 gallon size. The only thing I can think of is to try Whole Foods for glass milk bottles and reuse them. Any better ideas?

I store water in old glass liquor bottles They're usually 750ml or 1L bottles, although sometimes we buy larger quantities.

If you buy apple juice (Knudsen or similar) sometimes it comes in gallon (or almost gallon) glass jugs. We use those for all sorts of things.
