Nipple blisters around ovulation?

Hi All-

My son is 13 months old and I've been enjoying a rocky return to fertility. I've had 2 cycles so far and each time around ovulation I got plugged ducts which eventually presented themselves as blisters on my nipples that I needed to stick a pin in to create a hole so I could express the milk out. OUCH. I'm left in a lot of pain for over a week each time and then it seems to just happen all over again.

I know from my Kellymom search that blisters can be associated with ovulation, but my question is.... will this eventually stop? I started regularly taking lecithin. Is there anything else I can do to decrease my tendency?

Thanks!

Have you considered that you may have thrush?

It has crossed my mind, but I don't seem to have any signs except for pain and it's concentrated on the damaged sign.

I am easily prone to vasospams and I'm wondering if part of this is a major flair up.

I'll keep a look out for the signs.
