I usually drink coffee or water (from a natural spring we go weekly to get).

The kids usually drink water, sometimes smoothies, on Saturdays or Sundays (when we have a "special breakfast") they will get some oj or fresh juice. . .sometimes DD will drink some organic milk.

Me: Water, then tea with lemon
DD: Usually water (every once in a while she asks for milk), then a few sips of my tea

Used to be coffee from the french press straight away. Now that I'm pregnant, I only drink coffee once or twice a week.

DD and I have orange juice or oj/yogurt blend, emergen-c, hot tea, milk, kefir. Not usually water with brek, tho we pound through it the rest of the day.

Usually water, but sometimes raw goat's milk. VERY rarely we get some OJ.

ETA: Coffee for myself and dh. Don't know how I could have forgotten THAT!

i read "the body's many cries for water" (or something like that) a few yrs back and while i didnt really buy into everything he said about plain tap water healing every sort of illness, it did make me realize that my kids werent drinking NEARLY enough water (i drink tons each and every day) so since then i serve them each a glass of cold water with breakfast and they must drink it all, no complaints. i usually make smoothies, too, but they hav eto drink the water first. i'm mean like that, but it may be the only plain water they drink all day. they just dont like water. ftr, i do not keep soda or juice in the house, but we do drink green and herbal tea quite a bit and lately i've been making water kefir and sneaking it into stuff here and there.

Me: coffee or milk (if I am having some sort of breakfast bar)
DH: tea
DD: nothing, usually, unless she chooses a yogurt drink for a quick breakfast

first thing upon waking should always be HOT water with lemon juice. drinking with meals or within 30 minutes is a no no as it disrupts the digestive process. if you just cannot go without liquid with your meals, water is the only option preferably room temp.

We all drink water. DH makes coffee on the weekends, I drink coffee occasionally if I'm up early after a late night

Breakfast is a pretty informal affair, everyone makes their own when they get up- we don't eat together.

When you say first drink it would be water. I always drink at least 2 classes of water when I get get up in the morning but afterwards I can not function unless I've had a strong cup of Irish Breakfast tea. My DS just has water. DH has coffee.

Well, I drink Coke, but ignore me.

The kids each have their own breakfast drink every single morning -- DS1 is grape juice, DD is milk, and DS2 is orange juice.

It alwys depends what is for breakfast. If I have raisins or anything, i drink OJ or other fruit juice because the vitamin C helps to absorb the iron, whereas drinking milk or something with calcium inhibits it. I like milk a lot though, and I drink it otherwise. Sometimes water. My son drink BM
